Job Description:

Job Description:

  • Dismantle an infinite-scroll vertical webtoon and dynamically rearrange it into standard book pages (Tankobon or graphic novel format), or vice versa.
  • Scroll-to-Page Layout Restructuring: Slice, resize, and reconfigure long-strip vertical webtoon panels into multi-panel traditional book layout sheets (e.g., B5/A5 sizes).
  • Visual Rhythm & Narrative Pacing: Control the comic's narrative pacing by deciding how many panels go on a page, splitting wide landscape panels, and managing blank "gutter" space to ensure emotional beats land correctly for a book format.
  • Redrawing & Paintovers: Redraw or paint over missing backgrounds, character clothing, or extended visual assets when transforming a tight vertical composition into a wide page layout.
  • Dialogue & Typesetting Rearrangement: Reposition speech bubbles, narrative boxes, and on-page sound effects to guide the reader's eye smoothly across the page rather than straight down.
  • File Optimization & Print Prepping: Manage complex, high-resolution layered files (usually in Photoshop or Clip Studio Paint), convert color profiles from digital RGB to print-ready CMYK, and strictly adhere to bleed lines and safe margins.
  • Editorial & Revision Collaboration: Work with writers, editors, or project managers to adjust panel composition, fix continuity errors, and meet tight serialization or delivery deadlines.

Requirement :

  • Strong understanding of both webtoon (vertical scroll) and traditional manga/comic (paneled page) formats

  • Experience in page layout design and panel composition.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, or InDesign.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly for maintaining visual storytelling flow across formats.
  • Ability to creatively problem-solve layout challenges when converting single-column vertical content into multi-panel page spreads.
  • Willingness to treat the conversion process as an adaptation exercise, embracing the conventions of print rather than doing a purely literal conversion.
  • Willing to work as a team.

  • PLUS : possesses proficiency in English and Japanese.
